David Rosen, 17-years-old, struck and killed a 41-year-old man and his 9-year-old daughter up on the sidewalk as they were on a family bike ride one morning. I am sad to report that two pedestrian deaths occurred within 12 hours of each other in San Jose.
The first was Friday, February 10, 2012 when a woman was struck and killed while walking on Meridian Avenue. She has been identified by the Santa Clara County Coroner’s Office as Carol Trevino, 57, of San Jose.
The driver of the vehicle that hit her remained at the scene and was not arrested. Investigators do not think the driver was drunk and it’s unclear what caused the crash.
