The first occurred at the intersection of Broadway and Stockton Street, when a car and motorcycle collided, injuring one individual who later died from their injuries after being transported to the hospital. We know it must be the motorcycle rider who suffered the fatal injuries.
The second fatal accident, occurring just several hours later and only one block away, at Powell and Vallejo Streets, involved a large commercial truck and a pedestrian, who was later declared dead at the scene.
Both drivers in each of the crashes stayed at the scene and are cooperating with police. So, what can we learn from these two tragic collisions between a motorcycle and a car, and a truck and a pedestrian?
During the change of season, and particularly during the Holidays, many drivers are more stressed and more in a hurry and more distracted than usual. Traffic can be worse and also very distracting and can make motorists less alert. During these times, it pays to be extra careful, and to give the other users of the road a little extra courtesy and room.
The families of the two traffic fatalities above should immediately consult with an experienced San Francisco Wrongful Death Lawyer.
